Good Times in Utah

The day after Christmas we packed up the car bright and early and headed for Utah to see family and friends.

Christmas morning--Brandon likes to leave all the mess and not clean up as we go. Not particularly my style--in fact, it gives me the hives...but I think the boys enjoy the chaos/mess.

Bensy being a silly goose.

James lost his first tooth (my sister Nikki pulled it for him). James was so brave!

We enjoyed Smash Burger with some mission buddies and their families (the Bear Lake crew) and then headed to the Eyres' in Park City for some sledding and snow time.
We visited the Grandmas.
This is Brandon's Dad's Mom: Grandma Frederickson. She is 94 (ish) and AMAZING! We love her upbeat attitude about life.

We went to see the Temple lights in Salt Lake with my sister Nikki, brother Chris, and their families.
This particular picture is special because Hyrum Smith--the statue behind B and the boys-- is Brandon's great grandpa (times five).

The cousins (L to R): James, Ella, Brynn, Max, Benson, and Hanna.
Max insisted on wearing James' ski coat even though it wasn't any colder than 55.

Love this one b/c of Bensie's little sad face.

We went to see Mission Impossible while the cousins all saw Alvin and the Chipmunks.
James and Max LOVED it.

More cousins at the Frederickson family Christmas party--Brandon's Dad's side of the family.

For New Year's me and B spent the evening with Kimberlee (his sis), Linsey (his sis) and their husbands. We ate at The Bombay House in SL (FIVE stars! SOO delish) and then went to a comedy show, listened to a live band at the Salt Palace, slid down an enormous blow up slide, jousted and watched fireworks after the countdown. It was a great time.
L to R: Linsey, Jared, Kimberlee, me.

Here is me and B jousting.
He kicked my bum...didn't even let me win once the meanie. I could not balance for the life of me!

Happy New Year!
