We had the October birthday party at our house this year (we missed Kristen...and it would have been nice to have Bec too). There are five family birthdays in a row: October 17th: Helen & Max, 18th: my Dad (Udo), 19th: Bec and 20th: Kristen.
We celebrated with food (marinated pork loin--my Mom is the meat master, always glamorous spinach and feta salad from A. Sharon, and finally the calorie binge of all calorie binges: funeral potatoes--that was my contribution, oh--and cake from Brian aka: Safeway's bakery). There are few things more enjoyable than to eat and be together.

Ah, I can't believe it has already been a year since you birthed AN ELEVEN POUND BABY - AT HOME - NATURALLY. And what a cute baby at that...I think his signature frown is more of a curious sort of shock...he is saying "Seriously Mom, you made it? After having me?"
