Cousin Time & Lake Tahoe 2014

Look at these beautiful babies!
Gabriella, James, Sofia, Max, Lorenzo, Benson and Lewis.

Sillies!

We took our annual trip to Northern Cali this year in style.
We decided to shell out the cash to fly instead of drive the 13/14 hours.
We were quite the spectacle in the airport. It was a little crazy but SO much easier than coping in the car with a nursing baby and three energetic boys.

This is how happy we felt about not driving!

Richard's beautiful wife, Kristen lovingly allowing
Lew to use her shoulder as a teether.
I think she's quite taken by him, don't you? :)
We spent the first part of our trip with the Juarez family.
Our kids bounce around like it's Christmas morning when they get to spend time with their cousins. It's so fulfilling to watch them build bonds of friendship and love much like the ones I have with my own cousins.

Scott and Nikki kindly loaned their Tahoe to us so we didn't have to rent a car.
This is us off to Lake Tahoe for the rest of our trip.

Mr. Mermaid Max.

Northstar has a roller rink where we go roller skate one night while we're up there.
When I walked outside to load kids in the car I found them playing with these velvety leaves.

Is there anything better than a bare baby beach bum?
Now that's some serious alliteration!

Hanna, Max, Benny, James and Ella.
They all just finished tie dying t shirts. Just like rollerskating, this too has become a Lake Tahoe tradition.

We enjoyed plenty of beach time and even braved the brisk waters.

I rode the kids in the tube to the rocks and took turns taxiing them back and forth so they wouldn't have to get totally wet. The water was frigid. I have a nice layer of postpartum baby fat that kept me warm.

Daddy playing games on the beach with Benny boy.

Aunt Erin holding baby Lew. She is such an amazing mom and always willing to help with the baby or whatever else.

My incredibly brave brother, Chris. He had only been a few weeks out from a below the knee amputation and still came to Tahoe to spend time with everyone.
NOTHING stops this stud!

My family.

Hanna and Brynn.
Hanna is always up for an entertaining pose.
She's also amazing with the kids. SO helpful and attentive.

Erin, Evan, Brynn and Chris.

Sweet Ella and Baby Lew.

WE LOVE TAHOE!
Cannot wait for next year!
Thank you, Tanner family.
