Brandon's sister, Rebekah has been living in Germany where her husband, Bryan is serving in the Army. It has been bittersweet following their adventures via instagram and FB. We miss them and wish they were closer but know their time there is just for a season. In the meantime they have been traveling every last inch of Europe hiking, exploring and site seeing in some of the most breathtaking places in the world.
Bekah spent some time visiting her parents and other family in Utah and asked us if she could fly down to Phoenix with her two girls, Kate and Jane. We of course were thrilled to have them in our home.
Kate is a determined, strong willed little lady with an opinion about everything. I was so impressed with how patiently and lovingly Rebekah managed her moods. She never freaked out or lost her cool (not easy to do with a spirited child). Kate played so well with the boys. She really fit in well with them because she's so active and adventurous. Her and Benson got along great. It was fun to watch their friendship blossom.
Jane-Jane is THE squishiest, happiest little fatty of a baby you've ever beheld. Oh. My. She is what my little girl dreams are made of! Bek would let her crawl around on the patio with her diaper off to air her out and it took every part of me to not squeeze her to death!
We all went on a hike up South Mountain. I packed Kate on my back, Bek carried Jane and the boys made their own way up the mountain. It worked out well because Lewis stayed home with Auntie Bean. I really wanted to organize some kind of outdoor adventure for Bekah because I know she enjoys being outside and active. We were quite the spectacle with all five young children but it worked out well and we had a great time.
We loved having you Aunt Bekah, Kate and Jane-Jane! Next time we see will hopefully be in Germany when it is our turn to visit!
xoxo
