Potty Training Lewie

First order of business after the boys started school: POTTY TRAINING for Lewis "Klopin" (that's how he says his last name and it's adorable).

I made the mistake of having high hopes with Lew. He had gone potty on his own several times months ago and I just thought, "This kid is going to get this so fast."
Day one and two were completely stupid. He didn't seem to be getting it AT ALL. Then he turned a new leaf on day three. It just seemed to click. He was 100% pee trained by day three.
The poop was a totally different story. After about two weeks he finally figured out the poop too (mostly).

Here he is "reading" his scriptures in the buff (which is how he spent many, many days during the process). He's so funny with this mini "Book of Mormon." He loves to carry it around with him and when I ask him what it's about he proclaims excitedly, "JESUS!"

As if potty training weren't challenging enough poor Lew got a bizarre bug bite on his forehead that made him swell up and look like Quasimodo. Poor guy. It took several days for the swelling to go down. Thankfully, it didn't seem to bother him at all. He didn't even react to his puffy eyed reflection.
